HD graphics, I have a question?

rite iv just bought a macbook pro, 15inch the one with the 512 mb graphic card, i was just wondering if i were to connect that laptop up to a monitor would i be able to enjoy a higher resolution in graphics atm i think its something 1500 by 900, any answers thank you

Yes you can - very easily. The setting will be there when you open display options.
