    hi guys,
i have a friend who got hold of an IBM Thinkpad that was a bit broken. he sent it off to get fixed and they replaced the HD. i said i would have a look at the old drive 2 see if i could salvage any of it using my ide adaptor. it starts of promisingly and is recognised by the BIOS and by the device manager as a HD but the Disk management cant see it. im running XP Pro and an ASUS P4S800 board it was plugged into IDE 2 on its own so shouldnt conflict.
is the drive totaly lost? its 60GB so could be worth it. the model number is DK23FB-60.
