Hdd S-ata I not recognised

Hello to you all

I have a computer with 2 S-ata Mobile Racks.

As a request of a friend I disconected the Racks and I putted a IDE Drive to format it. After I have finished I connected back my drives but both are not recognised by the Bios. It recognises only the CD-ROMs.

I tried to connect the drives directly not with the help of my racks, but no results either.

I suspect that my S-ata controller is burned.
How can I verify this controller?

Any suggestions ?
Help?
