Hello and welcome   to techspot

between those three i think the ATi sounds good or u can check at a 5700 (not le ) if u can get one or ATI 9800 Se i think it comes for $98 so that sounds good all these cards will give bare minimum performance at medium settings with all eye candy off so choose wisely :grinthumb

If you really want to play Doom 3 at a decent quality level you might want to look at an Nvidia card since the game uses OpenGL and NVidia is known for doing that much better than ATI. My advice is to go for a Nvidia 6600GT it might be slightly above your budget..(around $160) If you search around you MIGHT find one cheaper..just a suggestion, good luck with finding yourself a decent video card.

It depends on your screen res. and aa/af settings, if you use lower res.(800x600, 1024x768) and no aa/af, then it is ok.

You may consider a 6600 "vanilla", they are decent, and cheaper. I have a 6200, unlocked to a 6600, and I think it good.

It gets 30+ fps in doom 3. A 6600gt gets around 70 though.

If you can afford it though a 6600gt is the way to go, if not a 6600 would be a good second bet.

Hey... I have a nVIDIA GeForce FX5500. PCI version! It can play Halo at max. settings and 1024 x 768 w/o lagginess or trouble. It cost me about $90 plus S/H. And I see that your computer has an AGP slot so I think that none of 'em would have any problems. Even my previous Intel integrated crap worked with Doom 3... So, I think none of those cards would have trouble. If I were you, I would go w/ the nVIDIA 5700LE because it's a higher number... :haha:
