Help connecting 1TB WD Passport to my 42LE5300 LED TV

Hey Everyone

Not sure if this is the correct forum to post this in but I have a 1TB WD My Passport that I'd like to use to play videos with my 42LE5300. I reformated the drive to FAT32 and I am able to see every file on my hard drive except the video files. I can view pictures, listen to music...everything but play movies.

Videos play perfectly well when I use my 2GB thumb drive on the TV but hopefully there is a way to make it work with the device I store all my movies on (the 1TB passport).

Does anyone know why I might be having this problem?

Any help is greatly appreciated...

Thanks!

make sure the format of the video is one that the TV can see....and mayb the tv is unable to recognize files larger than 4gb

Punkid - while the tv may not be able to read larger than 4GB files.. I don't think that would be the issue here - he wouldn't be able to put a 4GB+ file on a FAT32 drive.

I'm not sure what the answer is though..

Just to clairify - the file when placed on a 2GB thumb drive plays, but that same file does not play when its on the 1TB drive?
