Help, first time building a pc

  1. This is my first time building a PC from scratch and I wanted to know if I was missing something, maybe some pieces aren't compatible and I'm not aware, things like that, save me from my own stupidity.

Notes: I'm a moderate World of Warcraft player, so i would like my PC to be able to run that smoothly.

At this point the best thing you can tell us is what your budget is. A number of people will definitely come by and provide some good advice.

Are there hardware items like monitor, keyboard and mouse that you don't have to purchase because you'll be using them from and older system? Many people do this; to put it another way, what don't you need to purchase?
