Okay so I plu in my mic, and it works for a few seconds, then I get this insane static noise going on which lasts for like 30 seconds. Its not my mic because i've tried two different mic's, and it happens to both of them, also they work on my roommates computer.
I use my mic when playing World of Warcraft so I use it over Ventrillo, and Yahoo IM. Not sure what kinda mic it is, but its one of those plug and play things. Only things I have plugged into my computer are my Altec Lansing speakers and my Logitech camera.
