Help me find the right Gigabit switch

  1. I need a Gigabit switch to connect another PC to the web. There are many kinds out there and i'm lost. After looking around i found out that the minimal number of ports that comes with one is 5, i only need 2 but i'll have to get that one cauise i got no choice. Anyway, i have the Verizon FIOS service and all PCs are behind the router using a wired connection. This is the diagram of my connection as of now:

Internet -- D-link wireless router -- Main PC on 1st floor
    | - cable to second floor
    |
RJ-45 wall mounted jack w/ 1 port -- My PC

Basically what i want to do is plug the switch into the RJ-45 jack to create 2 ports so i can hook up another PC to web in addition to the one i already have connected.

I need something that will support my 100Mbps internet connection. These are the top selling switches at newegg i've been looking at. Will any of them do the trick?

Either Netgear would be better than the Linksys products... The more expensive Netgear switch has more security features, but you may not need these
