Help me get rid of this file please!!!

I have a file on my desktop that won't go away...it doesn't even have the option to delete it...I downloaded the file deleter to see if that would work but it says that the file does not exist and can't be deleted but I see it there and it won't go away...somebody please help me before I get in trouble from the hubby for screwing up his pc.

Could it be an image of an icon pasted on the wallpaper? Change the desktop background and see if the file goes away.

You should also consider getting a better hubby that doesn't go ballistic over small matters like this..

try Unlocker. its an excellent tool for deleting annoying files.

indeed, if all else fails you may have to settle for getting rid of hubby and living with the file. :haha:

If that file is an icon or a shortcut to a installed program and the program was uninstalled if you right click on it windows will search for a few minutes then should give you the option of deleting the file.

try highlighting it and hit the delete key

right click on that annoyind file and choose unlocker and then choose unlock all and then delete the file.
