Help me please sound card questions

do they make a sound card that has rca outputs i have it hooked up through the standard 3.5mm jack with a rca converter but it appears to be adding distortion as this is an amplified source

Yes they do make them... see any audio video site. But you can buy cheaply adapters to use in a sound card... Yours may be unable to handle the changes... or is defective.
