Help! Weird DVD Burning Issue?

I have a NEC DVD Burner model ND-3520AW which has been burning both CDs and DVDs fine for the past 3 or 4 months but now it won't read any of the Data DVDs I burn even after reporting that they burned successfully.

* I have tried burning at 2x, 4X, 8X, & 16x.
* I have tried using Maxell DVD +R 8x and Memorex DVD +R 16x media
of which I had always used successfully in the past.
* The burner will read data DVDs that I burned several weeks ago and retail
DVDs of popular movies.
* The burner will burn and read data and music CDs
* I have tried using 6.016, 6.018 and Nero.v7.0.1.4b.Premium.Edition

I'm all out of ideas fellas. Can anyone offer any suggestions of what my issue might be at this point? Any thoughts/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

it sounds like a media issue. Maxells are gernally ok but kind of spotty on their quality. Memorex is absolute crap. try verbatim or Taiyo yuden disks.
