help with Partitioning

It is my first time partitioning a hd and I have a 400 gig samsun hd and i tried partition magic and it will only do up to 64 GB. I want a 100 GB partition and i was wondering would i just create two partitions and merge them or should i find another program that allows 100 GB partition cause i have searched all 200 topics on this forum that for Partition and they haven't help me out much. = /.

Try gParted.

If your Windows install is fairly fresh you could consider reinstalling and setting up the Windows partition then and leaving the rest unpartitioned and then doing it through the GUI in Disk Management.

Had windows installed for about a year now... and i don't have the disk. Sorta why i am trying to find a program which would allow me to partition
