I had what I thought was a hard disk failure.
I removed the drive and put it into another computer (slave).
It recognizes it when the computer reads the drives (but not in the setup..weird) and then againwhen I log into windows it sees it as a drive (E) in My Computer.
So the disk is not fried but it has XP installed. If I switch drives on boot it doesn't load. So I am guessing that it is an XP issue. Is there a way I can repair XP on it from within windows as I can't boot to it and the bios does not see it as a drive?

    Hi ceo,

If you are looking to just repair the installation then there is a guide here

Are the drives both IDE or SATA?

I've had issues getting drives to recognise in BIOS if they are SATA and the support for SATA has not been turned on.

Does it give you an error code when you try to boot off the hard drive?
