HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ CLSID/folder is missing?

  1. Why is this folder/key completely missing from my Registry and what does it do??
    Would it cause system instability???

    Im concerned about this, can someone give me a hand, please.


    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ CLSID

    Used to identify an ActiveX control
    Represents a unique id for a software application or application component

    Note: I would find this extrememly strange not to be present.

    You may need to do a Repair of Windows
