hmm, you have ZoneAlarm; Spybots Tea Timer and Spyware Gaurd installed

Likely cause SpyBots

But please un-install all 3 of these resident (live) protecting programs

Un-installed all 3 of them... nothings changed problems still there.

Run Startup Control Panel
Turn off everything
Restart

Test changing Firefox settings again
