  1. Hi-We have an older dell latitude laptop that has wndows me on it. I have very limited knowledge on laptops so I hope someone can help me out with this question? Is it possible to hook up an internal hard drive to the laptop and operate it off that hard drive with windows xp rather than using the small hard drive with ME that is currently in the laptop. And if so, then how do I access it once the laptop is on? Thanks for any info!

    Wes

only if your laptop supports BOTH dual boot and USB Device boot. a simpler solution would be to replace the dell laptop hard drive and install XP on it.

Buy an internal HD and replace the old ME drive, then buy an XP disc, and install right from there, as fastco mentioned above
