Hotmail errors

    One of my hotmail accounts will only download the headers - anyone else having the same problem??

    I assume you're using as POP service? Are your configs the same?

    Yes - and on two different machines. One uses OE 6, the other Live Mail and they are both behaving the same. It is as if the message has been lifted from the server so that the header as no link with which to fetch the message.
    I think we are resigned to emailing the senders and asking for the messages again!
    It may also be a MS conspiracy to get us to stop using an old hotmail.com account so they can close it!

    If you have IE6 then you don't have windows live! on that system which may explain the errors. Upgrade to IE7 or 8.

    Sorry if I did not make it clear - the same errors (but with slightly different error messages) appear on both machines. It can only be a problem with Hotmail itself I think.

    download only headers is usually an option in your Email Client Software --

    how are you accessing email?

    both of them using OE or Live and through a pop3 account/
    Don't worry about it jobeard, it was a Hotmail foul-up and it has gone away. If I could mark this thread as solved I would!
