How do I Block an MS update

  1. I've noticed the bing bar update waiting to be installed. I do not want anything to do with it & would like to know how to hide it permanetely.

    I'll guess you're running Win 7, in which case right click, select Hide Update

    I hid that update the day it came out haha. If MS was like Google, they would have killed Bing by now lol.

    Yea, I heard about that bing search resulted in tons of malware whereas google searches were clean. I love Google search

    but my searches were clean using bing. (microsoft fan here) :)
    in fact, the goodies I searched are really, really clean. :D :p

    kidding aside, I use bing search when using ie10 for win7/8 (in private) and google search when using google chrome (incognito) under win vista/7/8.
    luckily, virus-free for the past 10 years or so.

    bing bar is currently installed but not set to start with windows.
    (I like bing wallpaper.)
