I went through the steps except for Look 2 me destroyer. I never could get it to run (tried it twice). Thanks in advance for all the help.

You might want to copy and paste these instructions into a notepad file. Then you can have the file open in safe mode, so you can follow the instructions easier.

Boot into safe mode. See how HERE. http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/tutorial61.html

Turn off system restore.(XP/ME only) See how HERE. http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/tutorial56.html

In Windows Explorer, turn on "Show all files and folders, including hidden and system". See how HERE. http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/tutorial62.html

Go to add remove programmes in your control panel and uninstall anything to do with(if there).

BroadJump\Client Foundation
MarketBrowser
Aluria Spyware Eliminator
freescan
SpyKiller

Close contol panel.

Open your task manager, by holding down the ctrl and alt keys and pressing the delete key.

Click on the processes tab and end process for(if there).

Internet access

Howard, I did the last series of tasks, but after rebooting I'm not able to connect to the internet. I called Embarq (used to be sprint) and they helped me get back online but my browser can't find any web pages. I'm using Earthlink. Any ideas what I did wrong?

Did you fix the 017 entry? If so you will need to restore it.

Run HJT and click on the config button, followed by the backups button. Place a tick in the little box next to the 017 entry and click on the retore button. When prompted to restore the enrty, click yes.

See if that helps.

If it doesn`t try reinstalling Earthlink.

Regards Howard :)
