How do I manually turn on my motherboard any system by hand?

    Literally...

    Do I take a paperclip and quickly short the 2 pins on the motherboard that power up the system. Will it work?

    Aaaah are your on about resetting the CMOS? you could short the two solder pins but I prefer leaving the CMOS battery out for 5mins as that does do the same job.

    I do it all the time with an old 865 I use to test things out. Use a jumper instead of a paper clip (safer); you just need to touch briefly and remove. If you are doing it a lot I am sure Radio Shack will have a switch tht will close the contact only while pressed.
