In the process of installing Windows XP Pro x64 in a dual boot with Windows XP Pro 32-bit, I have done something that results in a message to the effect:

"ntldr deleted. Reinstall file".

when I try to boot the x64 application. The 32-bit XP Pro boots fine.

So short of starting over and reinstalling Win XP Pro x64 from scratch, how do I reinstall ntldr and similar files that I might have accidentally deleted?

Thanks.

I found two easy to follow guides here:
NTLDR is missing

http://www.tinyempire.com/shortnotes/files/ntldr_missing.htm
http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000465.htm

Hmm, although it may be just not an active partition that is causing the error (as per those guides)
One thing they didn't mention was running Check Disk from the Recovery Console (first R prompt from the Windows Setup CD boot)
On the command line type: chkdsk *: /r (note: "*" will scan all drives and partitions)
CheckDisk has fixed this before for me, but the guides should be followed if still not working
