How do I replace a damages windows os file

Had a nasty couple of viruses and they attached themselves to the comctl32 and comsrvc.dll since then my computer is very slow
any suggestions?

Are you sure you are fully clean? I suggest going to the Security and the Web forum here and read the stickies. Your slowness may be due to the fact that your system is still infected.

Also, do you have your OS disk? You can try doing a repair that way.

its clean for sure

the slowness occurred after i dleted the files, Kaspersky found the virus but could not remove it, after downloading unlocker i was able to remove it

the slow problem then reared itself

i dont know what those files do but i assume they helped the computer find files quickly

I strongly suggest going to the Security and the Web forum here at TechSpot and give as much information as you can concerning not only your infection but the steps your took wiith ensuing results. You'll get good help there and read the stickies.
