    Hello people,

My flatmate and I share an internet connection via a Linksys WRT54GS DSL router (wireless). Im connected directly to the router where as he is wirelessly connected.

The problem is if im on a game, and he decides to download somthing or visa versa then whoever is playing the game is interupted. I was wondering if theres a way of putting a speed cap on the internet of me and my friend but still keeping the network speed itself 54mbps (as we share music).

    Many Thanks,

    Alex

What generation WRT54 is it? Newer versions have bandwidth throttling builtin - just look around in the setup pages. And if you don't have the feature, then that's it - nothing you can do other than imposing limits in the downloading software itself.
