   I want to shutdown my computer at 1230am Mon - Fri and not on weekends. I am running XP. Is there a way to do this?

   Sure.
   
   1) Create a "shutdown" script.
   2. Use the windows task scheduler to run the script at the days/times you want. Start->Programs->Accessories->System Tools->Scheduled Tasks
