    I'm afraid you will have to be a bit more specific. I'm not sure what 'automatic' stuff you are talking about.

    automatic capital letters, it makes "- random" to " - random" and then the spell check...the spell check is turned of, oh wait, it's not...ok so I turn it off again and a moment later it's on again...

    the same goes for office xp / 2003

    It will be in the options menu,

    For Ms word.

    1. Click the menu button
    2. select Word Options
    3. select proofing from the left pane
    4. select the "autoCorrect Options" box
    5. All those "automatic" settings you speak of, are in there. :)

    Get Spybot S&D

    run under Admin; set Mode=Advanced

    left side Settings and then on the right [x] Startups

    back to left side->Tools->Startups

    scroll for [x] *** update *** program(s) and clear the X on each one you find.

    You will then be the Commander of your fate and need to run product updates from within the product itself.

    ps: this prunes VM usage and improves overall startup and runtime performance
