How do you fix a broken disk on a acer pc?

a couple weeks ago i put a disk into my computer and the computer didnt spin the disk or recognise it. so iput another disk in and it did the exact same thing. i was just wondering how i could possibly fix this problem

I'm assuming the disk is getting power from the motherboard since the tray opens. Have you tried music cd versus a dvd.

Also go to "my computer" once you have a disk in and see if it shows something in the disk drive.
