I am replacing a motherboard due to a BIOS failure. Intel is sending a replacement board. I had previously installed Vista Ult. X64 in a RAID 1 array. Will my install still be valid with a new motherboard? How is Vista tied to hardware to prevent multiple installs with same validation code?

If it's the same Motherboard and same revision and chipset, it shouldn't need a reinstall.

But Windows checks for hardware changes via the boards unique identifier number, and may decide to be re-activated. That's all.
