How much do you pay to your ISP and how many ISPs are present wherever u live?

I use Qwest DSL services I was paying $21.99 for 1.5m down and 896k up but my promo is over so now I pay $26.99. Cable is avialable out here but it cost an arm and a leg.

I pay $40 for Shaw Cable here in BC, Canada

Supposedly it's a 5mbit line, but the most I get is about 200kb/s(1.2mbits) down and .6mbits up. Kinda sad, but it works.

My internet is $42.95 a month from Adelphia (cable) and the Download Speeds ¹are
Up to 4 Mbps

Upload Speeds
Up to 384 Kbps

And there is DSL near my house but I cant get it on my street? I have no clue why I called and asked the they just said when I see a lot of Verizion trucks in my area it means they are probaly trying to make a connetion. So yeah I can either get cable or sateiite which costs a lot more or dial up haha yeah right wow 56 k yay! lol

Hmm but definitely better than paying a Dhs 20(US$5) monthly flat rate for 56K in addition to hourly charges of 1.8Dhs per hour peak times and 1Dh off-peak. Complete ripoff I say.

yes i must say that you are getting a ripoff deal n american terms. my dad has NetZero dial-up service and pays $9.95 per month with unlimited surfing.

I pay $349 pesos (around $35 dlls) for a 1024kbps ADSL internet. This is from Telmex, and Prodigy Internet.

Here in Mexico, we have only 3-4 ISP's, but they offer a great service.

$40/month for 4Mb/s cable via comcast (would be $50/month, but i also have TV and phone through them so they take $5 off for each additional service)

other land line broadband choices here include RCN and verizon (around the same price but slower), and who knows how many dial-up's there are

cheers

Wow that's a really nice deal! $50month for 4MBps is sweet!

Vegas

I have Cox Cable here in Vegas- it's $39.99/mo, plus $4.95 for second computer. This provides 4MB down (in theory), and 512kbps up. Pretty good customer service, but for broadband, it's the only game in town.

yea Time Warner Cable says that they charge $4.95 a month for each additional Networked PC but we have 4 PCs here (3 desktops, 1 laptop) but we just bought a router ourselves and dont tell the cable company that we have more than 1 PC :) so we save $14.85 a month

£25 a month for 2Mb down, 256 Kb up. Will be upgraded free to 8Mb soon.

I have only 1 choice for broadband: Comcast, and I won't deal with them due to past experiences. DSL not available.

Verizon FiOS may become available in my area sometime in the future, that's what I'm hoping for.

Right now, using dialup (home) makes me want to shove a pen through my forehead. At least I have a fast line at work ....
I'm from maryland originally- where do you live? Verizon offers DSL in maryland.

I have a WISP here in OK and I pay $50/mo for a 1.5M up / 1.5M down...

The DSL here is around 50 for the higher package, and it's 6M down, and 1.5 up I think...

Not sure how many are present...but I pay 5 a month (yes 5 USD) for my cable broadband.....actually my entire bill is like 14.69 a month....full cable tv, all movie channels and such.

Helps when hubby works there. :D :D

Has anyone heard of AT&T DSL? MY grandmother has the DSL Express package and it has 1.5MBps Up and 384Kbps down - translates to 192KB max download rate and 48KB max upload rate for about 50-55$ a month. They also have a Pro and Elite package that ranslates to 3.0Mbps and 6.0Mbps respectively.
