    SVCTAG.EXE Help Needed

    Tried running the SVCTAG.EXE from the Dell FTP on an Inspiron 8600 and got an error message that indicated the Symbios information could not be loaded or read. Any idea as to what thei is about? I have a usb floppy that i am using. TBB

    inspiron 1300

    hi paragon
    i have an inspiron 1300 . is there a way to delete the password without opening the laptop .i tried to boot with DST cdrom . but it ask for service tag .how can i boot from the CD ?
    the service tag is :8zsch2j
    express s.c is :195-781-860-91

    No way for free; this model will still respond to the shorting technique, but I have had no feedback on the eeprom chip location. It would require opening the laptop.There is a dude listing on Ebay to supply you with a Master Password for $100USD,
