How to disable download scan in Norton?

I have recently started using Norton 2009 and I use Firefox. When downloading files it scans which I want to disable it.

Tried looking through the setttings and Googled but cannot find a solution.

I actually meant just to DISABLE the scanning feature when downloading files from the Internet. I don't want to remove Norton completely.

Sorry, I only know how to remove Malware, not allow it to bypass users security
