how to hide advanced options of hidden files?

hi

maybe some one knows an answer to this. I want to disable the show hidden files & folders option on winXP pro, with-in a users perimator, with out looseing access given to the whole view section. I am admin, kids are users, heehee imagine that....

anyone done this before?

Unless anyone else has a simpler suggestion,this might do the job - http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/sharedaccess/default.mspx - Be sure to check out the FAQs.Oh yes,it`s free.

read thru the FAQ's, ... one major prob i don't run SP2 nor do i want to run it. have loaded SP2 once and then reformatted too many un-needed features.
thanks for the site and the info, I passed on this information to another person that will use it

if anyone else can help in how to disable the (show hidden folders & files option) i would love any more feed back.

I had a quick look through the FAQs,and as far as I can see it`s OK with XP Pro without SP2.Microsoft say they "recommend SP2",but they always say that about everything.
