How to install SCSI harddrive with Windows XP

I have a 1999 450mHZ Pentium II Intergraph TDZ2000 with a SCSI harddrive and LSI controller installed. I cant install XP as it cant access the SCSI. Should XP have a driver for this or should I have a 3rd party driver? It is a Seagate Barracuda 9LP ST39173LW. I went to the Seagate site looking for a driver but found none. I assume this computer came with windows 98. If I was to install windows 98, I would still need the controller and SCSI driver. Any ideas what to do besides junk this $10 computer? Also, I could only find a windows 2000 driver for the controller.

Make and model of the LSI controller is important.

Google suggests the LSI is a SAS controller, not a SCSI-{1,2,3} device and that
would create a mismatch between the connectors of HD and controller.

This is my exact controller at http://www.lsi.com/obsolete/lsi8952u_2378.html?remote=1&locale=EN It is LSI legacy product LSI8952U. The hard drive is here http://www.seagate.com/ww/v/index.j...ath=en-US&pageno=2&interfaces=&reqPage=Legacy

My guess is you'll need the Win 2000 driver from http://www.lsi.com/obsolete/lsi8952u_2378.html?remote=1&locale=EN and put that on a floppy, hopefully its not bigger than a floppy can hold. Then when XP tells you to Press F6 for SCSI or 3rd party drivers, do that.
