How to make audio output split two different signals

Hi I have both audio ports (idk what they are called, those pink and green holes) on both the front and back of my computer.

I have a headset and speakers. The headset is connect at the front and speakers at the back. I want to have it so that the speakers play direct sound out of a virtual machine and have my headset play sounds from the host computer.

DK. When I VM, I get sound from both.

So, maybe mute one of the two.
Sorry not very helpful.

But I know because I have no "system" noises on my home machine, but my work machine, where I VM, does have system sounds - so I get surprised to start hearing them all of a sudden when I tunnel in.
