How to make my laptop run faster to play 3D games like CS:S

For christmas i got a laptop and i have been having some problems with gaming. I know it is problably not ment to play these games but i was wondering if anyone could help me make it run faster (without lag)? It is a Compaq Presario CQ56-134CA.
It has,
3Gb of Memory
Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500M (i think this is the problem)
1309MB video memory
320GB Hard Drive

you're probably going to have to turn the settings to as low as possible, and see what framerate you get. You can download FRAPS which can tell you the FPS. Then you can scale the settings until you get a frame rate that you're happy with.

Or just cl_showfps 1 like a normal person.
Imo nothing to do but look for some low graphics configs online.
Btw, you won't be getting "happy fps" from that computer.
