Correct me if I'm wrong but .zip compression doesn't support recovery record for its archives, neither .7z... It's probably better to use .rar or .arc if you want your files to be "safe"

Were they the same 8 out of 9 files recovered?
Also WinRAR is free for 30 days...but the software stays fully functional forever.

Please do not use the term 'free to download' - a high percentage of software is free to download but then requires you to purchase a key; if it's free then just say so (or call it freeware etc).
FYI Diskinternals Zip Repair actually managed to lose all the files in a non-corrupted archive

Partial recovery is not always useful you know unless you know what you have compressed as individual components.
