How to roll back to DirectX 9.0c from DirectX 10 for Windows XP

Hello all who having issues i found a cool way and simple way how to fix this issue with out reformatting your PC... here a few things you might like about this

1st your need find the regedit in your windows xp click on start button and then run type in regedit wait till it loads

look for a thread like this one

Navigate to this key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\DirectX

Change the value of version from ’4.010.00.0904′ to ’4.09.00.0904′.

Now run the DirectX installer.”

then your done and oh ya before i forget

goto your C:/Windows/System 32 and delete the D3DX10_43.dll files if u have any

then you can reboot plus you can check after wards if u have 9.0c installed go find in your C:/Windows/System 32 a program named dxdiag.exe i hope i help solve your problem

Unless you got your DX10 from the unofficial Alky Project you won't have DX10 on your XP system...
