How to run a 16 bit programme on xp?

  1. Seems to be my day for asking daft questions!

A chap I know has a much loved piece of software (The History of Medicine, Flagtower, if anyone is interested) He originally bought this when running Win 95 (I think). The program is long gone, and therefore cannot be updated to 32 bit. When he attempts to open the program in XP, nothing happens. I talked him through the XP compatibility mode, and using the compatibilty wizard, but nothing seems to work with this particular program.

    Anyone have any ideas?

Alternatively, I run Win2k which possibly might read the program. Is there a way I can burn his cdrs to disk so that he can use them with his xp machine?

All help and advice, as usual, very gratefully received!!

Download a program called DosBox off the internet it allows you to play a lot of the older games on XP
