How to set password for my IO Data Landisk?

Hi,
I have IO Data Network storage, can anyone show me how to set password to the Network Hard drive?, currentlt anyone within this network can access it.

you're into a bag of worms - - is this a personal LAN attached NAS or a commerical problem?

The process to secure access to a NAS storage device is:

1. take ownership of the root folder and replace all children's permissions
2. create a group name which implies NAS-access
3. grant desired privileges to that group name
4. now go back and add your desired user-logins to the new group name

To revoke access, delete joe-user from that group list
