HP 3330 prints scanned pdf documents very slowly

My hp 3330 prints scanned pdf documents very slowly, about 25 seconds per page. It takes about 3 seconds to print a normal pdf document. I tried reinstalling the drivers and updating the firmware. So far this hasn't helped.

I'm using windows xp, and the 3330 is connected to my computer by usb cable.

OK, I finally downloaded and installed the HP "Universal Print Driver for Windows - PCL6" and the "Universal Print Driver for Windows - PostScript".

This has helped greatly, it now takes about 7 seconds to print each page from a scanned PDF document.
