HP laptop cannot boot up or charge battery after battery went flat for 12 hours

My hp laptop had its battery flat for 12 hours. After that the laptop can nolonger boot up or charge. Please help

Try removing the battery and power plug. Then hold the start button down for about 5 seconds. Then plug the laptop back in see if it boots up. If so then power down the laptop and reconnect the battery. See if it will charge then.

Is their a charge light on the laptop? if not have you checked the charger it may be just the fuse but if you can try a differant one and see if it works.

Dose it boot from the power cord at all?
