HP laptop will no longer connect to the internet

I have had an HP laptop for 1 year and it has worked on the internet perfectly fine. My wireless router turned off one day while I was using the internet and after it turned back on my laptop would not connect back to the wireless. I have tried connecting my laptop to hotspot from my phone and tried connecting it to the internet modem with a cord but neither would work. Please Help!

First thing to verify is that the WiFi driver is ok; use an Admin logon OR
runas /user:administrator devmgmt.msc
enter the password
  • [+] expand Network Adapters
  • look for your WiFi

is it marked Red or Yellow?

hmm; wired & Wifi are both failing

You might need to check under Computer Management>Services and Applications and find out if both DHCP Client and DNS Client services are started and running, And are set to be started in Automatic mode.
