Hp laserjet 1020 cannot print anything

it used to work fine...until recently where there was a problem with the subsystem spooler app...i followed the instructions on the microsoft troubleshooting website and fixed it and the printer worked for one day...now it doesnt print anything at all...no error message..no nothing..the print queue indicates the document has been cleared but there is no activity from the printer at all...please help

Also click on Start->Run-> Services.msc

Maximize the services window that opens

Scroll down (alphabetically) to Print Spooler
Right click on it, and select Startup Type to Automatic
Also select Start (if it isn't already)

Also confirm when printing (from Word or whichever application you're using)
That the correct Paper size is selected ie A4 or A3
