    HI

I have a crappy HP comp. which has a 'dummied-down' version of the CPU. I cannot overclock it from the BIOS.

Can anyone help me hack the CPU and unlock the multipliers?

    Thanks in advance

i highly dount that that comp could be coaxed into overclocking. don't even try.

use jumpers, dip switches if possible. still, i have my doubts that it will overclock sucessfully.

another option that used to work on older boards is getting a socket adapter for your cpu that allows miltiplier steeings to be changed. try increasing the fsb speed, if possible. many oem systems are fixed at one speed, you may be out of luck.

also, see what you can do about altering the mobo's circutry (for very advanced guys), i know of one such guy and in 98 he got a Pentium MMX-166/66 up to a 250/100 by such means. i doubt that hp will provide you with the recourses nessecary, though.

    good luck.
