Huge increase in blue screens

I've cleaned the computer, reconnected the hard drive and RAM, did a chkdsk, defragged, whatever. I've had 2 crashes in the past 2 hours, and 6 in the past 3 days. Prior to last week, this computer had never had a blue screen. The error is just "has encountered a problem and shut down," no code, "less than equal to" or any such nonsense. Where do I start looking for the problem if this continues, which it probably will?

How to find and post your Minidump Files:

My Computer > C Drive > Windows Folder > Minidump Folder > Minidump Files.

It is these files that we need (not the folder). Attach to your next post the five most recent dumps. Notice the Manage Attachments button at the bottom when you go to post the next time. You can Zip up to five files per Zip; if you only have one or two you don’t need to zip them, just attach as is. Please do us a favor and don’t Zip each one individually.
