i am trying to install Linux but can't because it is in German

    have tried 3-4 different ites and downloads but can't get it right if anyone can help. i want to run Linux or similar desktop. i am familiar with windows and want to trade up i have tried solarus,dvd iso and i got it up,but at the install page told me that there was no enough space on the disk, i have a 200gb hd. any others that i got to boot are in German and i don't understand
    if anyone needs any more info please let me know. i know it will not be easy for me to run linux since is my first run but all the good things i have heard about its stability i am excited about learning.

    Three things -

    1.Most recent Linux distros do English !!
    The language choice menu is usually the first or second one you will see.

    2.You have to have to shrink the XP partition to allow room for Linux.
    Defragment the XP first. !

    3.Download UBUNTU (step by step included) The installer should allow you to resize the Windows partition.
