I can't access Facebook or Google

Hi, (Thinking...what is going on here?) So many people are saying the same as you... "Can't get on FB".
Must say I don't use FB, it's not my 'thing' but I did just try it and it's there and seems ok to me, if I did need it.
So can you try downloading a fresh browser, just to prove the point.
http://www.qupzilla.com possibly, but watch the tickboxes during installation, e.g. 'make default browser', you might want to look at those, nothing dangerous there though.
Or maybe running a portable browser from a flash stick to see what happens. I have a Flash stick with the Portableapps launcher, and many of the portable versions of popular programs just in case I get on a PC that has minimum software and I can't install anything. Worth trying.

Has anyone resolved this issue? I'm having the exact same problem. I've flushed my DNS, I've run Malwarebytes and CCleaner, I've installed Safari to see it it worked...nothing. I've got Chrome, IE, Firefox and Safari installed now and none of them can reach Facebook. My hosts file is empty as well. This is an extremely frustrating issue. I can connect to the site just fine on my laptop (through the same router and modem) but my PC won't do it.

The problem can be because Google and Facebook are using IPV6, and if your internet provider do not support this protocol, you will be unable to reach the server. You need to go to Control Panel > Network and Sharing > Change Adapter Settings and uncheck the IPV6 protocol. Clean cache, restart computer and you might be able to go. Don't forget to check the hosts file... I hope this helps

Hi all, I'm asking this question in behalf of my Mom. She's been using Facebook since 2010 via her desktop PC and had no access problems whatsoever. Last week, she went out of town and brought her tab with her and used FB using that. When she got back and tried to access FB through her desktop PC again, it asked to change her password. Which she did. After waiting a while, she tried the new password but her FB page wouldn't open. Instead it took her to the attached page. She tried resetting her password several times thereafter, with the same result. She's already tried clearing her cache, but that didn't help either. I personally tried accessing her page from my FB account, and it's valid. She just can't access it from her end. Any help would be appreciated!!!!! Thanks.
