  1. my ports in my router and windows are forwarded
i used to could host but all of a sudden it wouldn't let me host
    my ip has not changed
i reforwarded the ports but that didnt help
i went straight to my modem with windows firewall off and i still couldn't host
i turned off everything in my system tray
i have even reinstalled windows (this was because i wanted to get rid of my dual boot linux)
  2. Are you running a router?

... but seriously. Try putting your computer in your router's DMZ.

I put mine into DMZ mode and it tends to work most of the time, but still has trouble.

What router are you running? If you are running a modem + router setup, try running straight from the modem and see if that works. That way you've definitely narrowed it to a PC or Router problem.

I've seen cases where XP is so bloody finicky it requires a format to make it work properly. You could probably try reinstalling the game before this though.

I'd also suggest changing the hosting port which you do in the warcraft settings.
