i cant open almost any programs now....

Hiya, my computers gotten the worst virus thing ive ever had. almost every program i open says "(the programs name) has generated errors and will be closed by windows. An error log is being created". this adware called elite bar caused it and one problem is i cant even open my add/delete program thing, i cant unzip anything, i cant open my cd burn program to save my files, or open any .exe. i dont know what to do, i dont want to loose all my files. does anyone have any ideas? thanks

well i did those first 2 links and they found 1 virus and some adware. but then the third link i couldnt use becasue when i opened it, it said the same thing about the error.

I restarted in safe mode and everything seems to work, if i just delete IE explorer will it take the bad stuff with it? I hate that browser anyways.
