I get this error when I start PerfectDisk..anyone got an idea??

    I've just recently uninstalled McAfee software to use Zonelabs, among other things PC wise tonight and I've now got this error on startup of PerfectDisk, my disk defragmenter, "Failed to connect to computer "DANIELSROOM", The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion. (0x8007041d)."
    Strangely the program doesn't recognize my hard drive, but other defragmenters I have installed do? Does anyone know what could be causing this? Thanks for any help.

    Maybe the uninstall of McAffee did something. Try uninstalling and reinstalling PerfectDisk to see if that fixes it.

    sounds like you have a trojan trying to connect through a blocked port by zonelabs (perhaps it is doing its job and saved your system.) Check for viri and trojans.
