I need help with network drivers

i am on my friends pc to start with. b/c my pc will not work with the cable/broadband internet that i just had setup at my place. so i have his pc working on the internet at my place but i can't seem to get my pc to work. I had dsl before, do i need to change something in my pc or how do i go about getting drivers when my pc will not work on the internet. it is part of my motherboard and everest tells me aready what it is but nvidia wants you to scan to see what drivers you need. anyone have any ideas?

You had DSL, now what do you have as your Internet service? What kind of modem are you now using? Cable? If so, you should be able to connect it to your computer just like you did with your old DSL. The modem should automatically configure itself after a reset
